Re-reading the source material for my character I was reminded that his conversations are more like dissertations. I am not smart enough to be IC. 

I’m not wise enough to play one of my characters on a tabletop game. Every time she get’s into trouble because I was stupid enough to fall in an obvious trap or whatever because I was curious I keep trying to explain to the GM that it was all me, he should ignore what I just said because my character knows better.

Joined a group with a friend once, both of us with OCs while the rest of the people was mostly canon. We couldn’t get people to RP with if our lives depended on it… Even on open threads people just deliberately ignored our actions, and the adm eventually asked my friend to tune down on the actions that would affect everyone on the scene while other characters all but blew up the world.

We ended up leaving, even though we loved the plots we were working between out characters, because we had enough of their shit… Only for me to find out, a month later, that they had an award and our characters and a fight scene they had together won every prize they could qualify for. Judging by the comments on the votes, too, every player pretty much loved them.

They just, you know, couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge their existences on game.

Gay marriage?”. Despite all his statements and all the protests he’s been elected chair for Human Rights Committee through many political negotiations.
